In this article, we'll break down the first key in my five keys to prepping in research so you can be a hundred percent ready for overemployment. 👊
The first key is to figure out which side of the brain you are. This step really is more important than you might think, and you may be surprised if you already think you know what side of the brain you reside.
This step is crucial because it'll help you set up your overemployment plan on which jobs you will hunt and try to get. The goal here is for you to get a job that you can easily do. The worst thing would be if you get stuck in a job that is wicked difficult for you to do. For example, I had a hunch that I had more of a creative right side of my brain than a logical left side. I had this feeling because I'd be better suited to easily do a graphic design remote position than to struggle and burn out in a logical software engineering position. But I wanted concrete proof, so I decided to take two brain tests.
The first test is an actionable test you can get to by going to this link https://www.mentalup.co/blog/right-br... This first test is a very quick test that is creative and visual, so I like it a lot. It's simple and will show you results quickly. My results look like this: I have a 72% dominant right creative side of my brain compared to the left which is 28% logical.
I then took another test which was a logical more question and answer based test. After you finish the first test, go ahead and go to this link https://testyourself.psychtests.com/t... and take the second test to see how your results compare. Here are my results on the question and answer test: I received a 71% right side result which was crazy accurate compared to the previous test. Based off these two tests I can confidently say that my right creative side of my brain is much stronger than the left logical side of my brain.
Knowing what I know, I will personally make sure to target creative positions on my job hunts like creative design for example instead of logic based jobs like software engineering. Honestly, I'm just surprised I have any percentage in my brain. So go ahead and do this now, and use this as a compass to help guide you on which direction to go on your overemployment journey.
